From old car to new metal
Once a vehicle has been depolluted and its useful parts removed, the remaining shell is mostly metal — and almost all of it can be recycled.
We crush and bale vehicle shells at our yard, then send them on to be shredded, sorted and melted down so the metal can be used again.
We're fully compliant with the Scrap Metal Dealers Act, and all payments for scrap are made by fast, secure BACS transfer.
Compacting and baling
Stripped vehicle shells are crushed into compact bales, making them safe and efficient to transport.
Shredding and separation
The metal is shredded and separated into ferrous (steel and iron) and non-ferrous metals such as aluminium and copper. Leftover glass, plastic and foam is disposed of responsibly.
Melting and reuse
Sorted metal is melted down and made into new products — saving energy and reducing the need for new mining.
