Why recycling your car matters
Every car eventually reaches the end of its safe, usable life — whether it's failed its MOT, been damaged, or is simply too costly to keep running.
Old vehicles contain fuels, oils and other fluids that can harm the environment if they're not handled properly. Recycling makes sure these are removed safely, and that the valuable materials in your car get used again.
The End-of-Life Vehicles rules exist to make sure this happens properly, and our yard is run to meet them.
Safe depollution
Fluids, batteries and hazardous parts are removed and stored safely before being sent for proper processing.
Reusing parts
Good parts are recovered and reused, giving them a second life and reducing demand for new parts.
Recycling metal
The remaining shell is crushed, baled and sent to be melted down and made into new metal.
