Every vehicle we take in is dismantled safely, carefully and in line with environmental rules.
Our dismantling yard
At our yard in Chatteris (PE16 6UA) our team dismantles end-of-life, damaged and unwanted vehicles. It's the step that turns an old car into reusable parts and recyclable metal.
Dismantling isn't just pulling a car apart. We carefully remove the parts that still have life in them, so they can be tested and used again on other vehicles.
Every vehicle is handled to Environment Agency standards, and we issue official Certificates of Destruction (COD) when your car is scrapped.
Depollution first
Before anything else, we drain all fluids — petrol, diesel, oil, coolant, brake and transmission fluid. The battery and other hazardous items are removed and stored safely before being sent for proper processing.
Recovering reusable parts
Engines, gearboxes, alternators, wheels, lights and panels in good condition are removed, cleaned and stored, ready for reuse. It keeps useful parts on the road and costs down for drivers.
Safe disposal of what can't be reused
Parts that can't be reused, like worn tyres or old batteries, are removed and passed on to licensed specialists to be disposed of or recycled correctly.
Ready for metal recycling
Once stripped, the remaining shell is crushed and baled, then sent on to be shredded, sorted and melted down so the metal can be used again.
